WHO WE ARE

Norfolk Naval Station Bus Tours is a locally owned and operated small business. We are excited to bring back our popular Norfolk Naval Station Bus Tours for the first time since 2020 in close partnership with the Naval Station Norfolk Command.  The admissions staff, bus drivers and tour guides are our team with the Navy providing the security personnel. We happened across the Naval Station Norfolk Bus Tours on a Google search, and we're glad we decided to take the inexpensive tour on a whim. The guide was pleasant and efficient in his presentation, the driver was skilled and friendly. The tour was not quite an out-and-back, but in the places where the drive repeated, the guide had different information to keep the tour interesting.

A 'two-fer' - engaging history mixed with today's Navy ships up close

A great way to spend an hour or so learning about what has put Norfolk on the maps and charts of the world! The wall displays in the waiting area provided excellent background for the Navy itself. A surprising, informative, and delightful aspect of the actual tour was the history of the Navy base, of the site before the base existed, and of the waters adjacent to the base. Our guide was Bob Kennedy, a retired Navy Captain who was exceedingly knowledgeable and very articulate.

I had the pleasure of taking the Naval Station Norfolk bus tour with my young son. It was nice that I didn't have to hear complaints about how far we'd have to walk. Seeing as how this is the only apparent way a civilian with no connections can get on base, this was an awesome way to get to see the men and women of the armed forces in action. The commentary and details about the base and ships was very informative and much appreciated. You get as close as possible to the aircraft carrier and other ships. Our guide (veteran with in depth knowledge) was great! Definitely worth the price of admission.
